Brufe Village at 800 m altitude in the municipality of Terras de Bouro, very picturesque, with well preserved stone houses and a Restaurant. Brufe lies on the side of the Amarela mountain range, in front of the parish of Carvalheira and upstream with the dam of Vilarinho das Furnas, where the community village of Vilarinho das Furnas once stood. The village of Brufe reveals a high rural heritage that denounces the rooting of peculiar cultures and traditions, an archaic symbol of communities from the mountain territories.
The housing complex was organized along rugged terrain and today is a tourist village made up of architecturally simple buildings, solid granite walls and woodwork to adorn the balconies and windows. The granaries, fields, drylands and water mills make up a harmonious environment, eminently rural. The matrix is between the two only places of the parish: Cortinhas and Brufe, rebuilt in 1881/82, with the Divine Holy Spirit as an oracle.
